Peter James Iglesias

Peter James Iglesias has been in the wine & spirits industry for 20+ years. He has established himself as an industry expert and senior operations executive, innovating scalable and agile strategies that drive sustainable growth nationwide. Iglesias brings an exceptional level of sector experience and knowledge spanning operations, sales & marketing to the commercial side of the industry and is also a natural leader. In 2022, Iglesias joined Bespoken Spirits as CEO to drive the company’s transformation to an industry frontrunner. His entrepreneurial spirit and strategic mindset have driven the company to new heights, captivating the market with the brand’s revolutionary approach to spirit aging.

In 2016, Iglesias joined Royal Dutch Distillers as VP of Sales and has held the role of Chief Operating Officer since January 2018. At that time, he transformed the Royal Dutch Distillers from a million-dollar loss-leading company into a multi-million-dollar profit machine. Additionally, Iglesias spearheaded the successful launch of multiple new brands, such as Italicus, Rutte Gin, Bebo Cuban Coffee Liqueur, and Fiorito Limoncello, across multiple distributor partners throughout the country (ex. SGWS, RNDC, Breakthru Beverage, and Horizon Beverage). Furthermore, Iglesias and his team relaunched/rebuilt the Chocovine brand, surging case numbers from 57K to 101K in 5 years and integrating a strategic sales and marketing partnership with Blue Ridge Spirits and Wine.

Iglesias is known for developing and managing winning teams by emphasizing a “Legacy Building!” mantra that spurs his staff to focus on establishing winning brands, teams, and organizations. He originally managed a team of 15 with Royal Dutch Distillers. Following the partnership with Blue Ridge Spirits and Wine, he oversaw a team of 38 dynamic, high-performing staff, inspiring them daily to execute at the highest level.

While serving as the East Region Managing Director for Disaronno International (Ilva Saronno Holdings), Iglesias played a key role in creating and executing the business plan to separate from their import partner, Bacardi USA, and create Disaronno International. Within the new organization, Iglesias was responsible for the East Coast Market (25 states) and co-led the new entity's transformation into a leading import/sales and marketing company. He strategically surged business year on year in the historically declining cordial category.

As the National Sales Manager for Angostura Spirits and Wine, Iglesias oversaw national distributor SGWS in FL and Il for the spirits portfolio and national sales for Angostura Bitters. He successfully launched the spirits portfolio and Angostura Orange Bitters line extension. His early experience included roles at Flor De Cana Rum (State Manager) and as a Sales Consultant for Coastal Wine and Spirits.

Born in Belville, NJ, Iglesias holds a BA in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University (Miami, FL).

Gabriel Jorge Garcia-Pons

Gabriel Jorge Garcia-Pons, a seasoned wine and spirits executive, has overseen various global markets during his 30+ year career. With experience in building companies, acquiring brands, and demonstrating effective leadership, Gabriel has managed full profit and loss responsibilities and supervised all sales and marketing activities for companies generating over $85 million in revenue.

Throughout the past 12 years, Gabriel has held key positions at Bespoken Spirits as the VP of Sales & Marketing, Zamora Company as the US Sales Director, and Illva Saronno as the Regional Director for the US, Canada, Caribbean, and Global Duty-Free markets. His accomplishments include establishing US importation companies for both Illva Saronno and Zamora. During his tenure at Disaronno, Gabriel revitalized the brand, reversing a 9-year sales decline to achieve an impressive +7% growth in a challenging cordial category. He also managed the East Coast Market and played a pivotal role in transforming the entity into a leading import, sales, and marketing company. At Zamora, he orchestrated the creation of the Joint Venture Zamora USA Importer by forming strategic partnerships, acquiring brands, and developing a comprehensive portfolio. Gabriel facilitated the Request for Proposal process and finalized agreements with SGWS.

His prior experiences include enhancing Flor de Cana's presence in the Eastern 32 states and expanding their Global Duty-Free footprint in LatAm and worldwide. Before his time at Flor de Cana, Gabriel contributed to the transition from Seagram's to Pernod Ricard as a State Manager. Additionally, he played a pioneering role in introducing Red Bull and San Pellegrino to various markets.
